 Patrick Fillion
Patrick Fillion graphic is a marvel, hyper realistic and sexy as hell, like Tom Finlanf guys donning superhero costumes. The situations are farcical, and the sensuality blooms! I've always found superheroes a bit silly, Fillion's is a good, pleasant parody of these garishly sheathed clowns. Love it!

I've been tempted to buy his stuff for quite some time, but I keep thinking it's just going to be porn, and if I wanted porn, I'd buy real porn. But you think the plots are good? Hmm. Well, I'm getting closer to buying them.

Well, Fillion's IS deeply erotic, porn if you want, but extremely classy porn.

What plot? I've missed a plot in most of his stuff. Not saying his art's not phenominal but plot? hmmmm - that's debatable. Like most porn, the plot's loose, at best.

Been meaning to pick up some of Fillion's stuff for a while, but aside from his Bliss: The Art of Patrick Fillion hardcover artbook, he hasn't put out any trades of his own work, as far as I know. Single issues are kinda expensive. I get that it's a niche market and they need to charge more for 'em, but I could buy a whole trade paperback's worth of a non-porn book for $8.00 than for the 24 pagers he's offering for the same amount of money. It all comes down to how badly do you want it...
Anyway, I saw some of his art a while back in one of the Meatmen gay comics anthologies (RIP), so I've been curious about his apparently fun, poking-at-comic-conventions, hugely-boned books.
His company, Class Comics, also publishes some stuff by other artists and writers that I like. This newer one, [url=http://www.classcomics.com/ccj/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=99&Itemid=120]The Mark of Aeacus[/b], looks interesting and like it might be porn + decent story (though to be honest sometimes I just want straight-up art-porn).
