Want to help support getting a superhero universe with LGBT characters off the ground? One that makes sure not only to represent said community, but make the characters not be defined solely by those identities? Then I would love it if you would help fund Karabear Comics on IndieGoGo.

The money goes to pay artists. My personal abilities are lacking in the artistic department, and anybody worth anything as an artist deserves to be paid for their work. If you do fund the project, you can get some nifty perks. Depending on how much you give, you or a character of yours could even appear in one of the comics--or you could even get anywhere from a backup story to a full issue devoted to you or your character.

There are several different books I want to get artists on (and possibly see if people want to write some of them, for better diversity amongst them):

Karabear Comics Presents - an anthology that features stories that don't work in the other series (generally something along the lines of an Amazing Fantasy, or the like) and the book that launches them all

The Almighty Protectors - a reality-hopping team whose adventures take them to many different places, but their core ties remain with the main universe

Wonder Super - a Superman analogue who knows he's in a comic, snarking his way through it all

Black Wraith - a shadow of the night, an enigmatic character whose identity is the mystery of the character's first story arc

Elemental Four - with super powers popping up all over the place, a reality show is fast-tracked into production, focusing on four siblings with elemental powers

Defenders of America - the universe's mightiest heroes, who band together to face threats each one could not face individually

These are the core books, and though I would love to follow some other characters, too, this is who I set as the basis.
