Who is Tommy Jagger? Apparently, he is DC's newest gay character, but little else is known about him. Jagger is in Checkmate, the UN’s super-spy organization, in the position of the White King’s Knight, which means he’s the field agent for Mr. Terrific, a.k.a. The White King.

We can guess that Mr. Jagger is gay because when he is in a strip club in CHECKMATE #9, a stripper says to him, “Why don’t you make a lap so you can get to know me better?”

Jagger replies, “Wouldn’t make a difference, I’m afraid. I’m gay.” So he is either gay or a liar. In Checkmate, either is possible, but there doesn’t appear to be a good reason for him to be lying.

Jagger is the creation of CHECKMATE’s author, Greg Rucka.

This is true, but we like how his story is going. Making him Judo Master's son adds some interesting character depth.

Agreed! I was very pleased with the last issue. He showed restraint but was still tough. And LOVED how he beat Bane without working up a sweat. I hope to see more of him.
