Pride High Rolls out Webcomic and Braille Adaptation!
posted September 12th, 2007 [Print-ready Version]
Creator Tommy Roddy has announced that Pride High, the story of a super-powered gay-straight alliance, is now also available in both webcomic and Braille formats.
"LGBT youth often have circumstances that discourage the purchase of LGBT-themed reading material, while visually impaired fans have relied on commentary from sighted friends" says Tommy Roddy. "Expanding accessibility, especially for communities prominently featured in the comic book, is a core goal of Pride High."
First released a year ago in print, the webcomic version of Pride High is updated every Saturday morning. Please visit http://pridecomics.com/webcomic for the latest installment.
The Braille version of Pride High #1, with adaptation by John D. Taylor and transcription by The LightHouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired, can be purchased directly from Tommy Roddy at info@pridecomics.com. The Braille adaptation for Issue 2 is currently in production.
The LightHouse promotes the independence, equality, and self-reliance of people who are blind or visually impaired. For more information, please visit http://www.lighthouse-sf.org.

Prism Comics promotes the works of the LGBT community in comics. It does not implicitly endorse any other material or products associated with those works. Any opinions expressed are those of the author(s).
