Prism at MoCCA Art Festival in NYC This Weekend! Plus Creator Signing at Jim Hanley's Universe!

Prism Comics, which promotes LGBT creators and their comics, will participate with a booth and creator signings at the MoCCA Art Festival, a two-day event being held June 7th and 8th, from 11:00am to 6:00pm each day, at the Puck Building in New York City. In conjunction with the festival, Jim Hanley’s Universe will host an LGBT comics signing event on Friday, June 6th, at 7:30.
“The MoCCA Art Festival is a huge event, focusing on the independent, self-published and alternative comics,” says David Stanley, Prism booth coordinator. “It’s the perfect place for Prism to represent LGBT comics creators.”
The Prism booth (#S36) at the MoCCA Art Festival will host creator signings with Allan Neuwirth (Chelsea Boys), Jennifer Camper (Juicy Mother 1 & 2, Dangerous Women), Abby Denson (Tough Love: High School Confidential)), Ivan Velez, Jr. (Ghost Rider, Dead High, Tales of the Closet), Erica Friedman (Yuricon), and JD Glass (American Goth, Punk Like Me). Also, a full range of LGBT comics will be on sale from such favorites as Paige Braddock (Jane’s World), Joe Phillips (Boys Will Be Boys), Brian Andersen (So Super Duper), Tommy Roddy (Pride High), and many more.
On Friday, June 6 at 7:30pm, the comic book store, Jim Hanley’s Universe, will host a “Queer Pride” signing event also featuring Allan Neuwirth, Jennifer Camper, and Ivan Velez, along with Jose Villarrubia (Mirror of Love, New Avengers, Manhunter). Prism Comics is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that promotes LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered) creators, characters, themes and readers in the comic book field.
