APE, HARD HEROES and WEHO BOOK FAIR Pictures Posted

The Prism folks have been busy over the summer and fall with bar events, book fairs and comic conventions. Pictures have finally been posted on Prism's Flickr page from HARD HEROES 2008, an annual fundraiser in Los Angeles. Super heroes and villains abounded along with creators Aman Chaudhary, Michael Derry, Scott Mullens, Brad Rader, Michael Troy and Sean-Z. Master face and body painter Bruce Collins and his team were busy turning sexy guys and gals into works of into sexy works of comic art. The event raised over $2,000 for Being Alive, a grass roots HIV/AIDS charity.

Prism also participated in the annual West Hollywood Book Fair on Sunday, September 28. Pictures are also posted from the Alternative Press Expo (aka APE) in San Francisco. This was Prism's fifth year at APE. This smaller brother to Comic-Con is always very queer friendly with lots of creators and fans in attendance. Appearing at the convention were Brian Andersen, Craig Bostick, Paige Braddock, Jennifer Camper, Charles Zan Christensen, Tristan Crane, Dave Davenport, Sina Grace, Justin Hall, Andy Hartzell, Joan Hilty, David Kelly, Robert Kirby, Jeff Krell, Ed Luce, Steve MacIsaac, Jason McNamara, Sean Seamus McWhinny, Erica Moen, Mari Naomi, Johnny Nolan and Mark Padilla, Brad Rader, Tommy Roddy, Sam Saturday, Joey Sayers, Robert Triptow, and Leia Weathington. Justin Hall lead a lively panel on queer comics, and Paige Braddock was a special guest of honor at APE with a spotlight panel and interview.
