Wuvable Oaf by Ed Luce (Goteblud Comics, $3.95) -- I can't believe I'm just discovering this series. Oaf follows a beefy, hairy, sensitive guy who loves kitties, Morrissey, metal, dolls, '80s nostalgia, comics and men. (We have a lot in common.)

"Choo-Choo" - All Aboard the Gayest Train in Town!
by Brian Andersen
[Print-ready Version]

Planet Gay XXXPress (c'mon, with three XXX's in the title you know this book is gonna be pornorific) is a new full-color, super glossy, in-your-face gay porn comic like no other! Published by sexy real-life partners, Mark Padilla (on pencils) and Johnny Nolen (on words and colors) - with an assist by Diego Gomez (lettering), under their colorfully named comic company, Gravity Faggot, Planet Gay XXXPress has three whopping sex-filled tales aimed to get your tongues a-wagging and your loins a-quivering.

In my limited gay porn comic reading experience I have found little substance amongst all the flesh-barring-man-meat and heart-pounding, uh, pounding. But with Planet Gay XXXPress, Padilla and Nolen amazingly take the crudest and most intense sexuality I've seen in a comic book (ever) and infused it with so much full-color energy that its nearly impossible not to feel the pure joy these creators had in making such a filthy-fun comic. Sure the stories and art are hyper-sexual (and I mean hyper-HYPER-sexual) and arousing (mission accomplished, boys!) but amongst all the extreme porno action there is no deigning the expression of true, genuine creativity.

Padilla is a wiz of a penciler. He is able to bounce from an atypical superhero story (capes and c**ks flying everywhere) with plenty of superhero posturing and theatrics, to a dark, foreboding, erotically charged space adventure, to a robo-filled future with a highly animated twink and the steel daddy-bot that loves him. Padilla is a true talent and his artistic skills are a marvel to behold. Thankfully, Padilla is matched by Nolen's deft script, which enables the writer to run the gambit from cheesy superhero dialogue and pacing, to a brooding tough guy monologue-ing (with a surprisingly great twist ending), to a sinister, mystery tale filled with love (and lust) lost.

But for all it's artist merits make no bones (haha, I said "bones") that this is an adults-only comic. And by adult I mean, like, 35 and up, because thar' be sex - oh man-oh-mighty - thar' be SEX in this issue! More bodily fluids - and the organs such fluids freely fly from - have been rendered in the this book than probably any porno comic in history. I dare anyone to flip through this book and not have a moment when your eyes bulge out like a cartoon rabbit at least once. The most eye-popping scene in Planet Gay XXXPress by far is the graphic depiction of the joys of, uh, doing 'something' special with ones fists that I have never seen before in any comic or real live action porn movie. So that is saying something! And they say there are no new ideas.

Do yourself a favor and pick up this no-holds barred raunchy-fest and enjoy it for all its unabashed dirty-fun. If you're not randy before reading it you're sure to be once (and if) you put it down.

Editor's note: Planet Gay XXXPress can be purchased at the Gravity Faggot store. Tell 'em Prism sent ya!

Brian Andersen is the mild-mannered creator behind So Super Duper (among other comics), and is surprisingly not scandalized by awesome hard-core action as long as it's cartoony and bright and pretty like a Care Bear.
