Ariel Schrag Previews Her Graphic Novel “Likewise” at Appearances in New York City This Week!
posted March 24th, 2009 [Print-ready Version]
As a preview to the April 7th release of her graphic novel, Likewise (published by Touchstone), which is the final chapter of her High School Comic Chronicles, Ariel Schrag will be appearing in New York City this week at a series of events.
The Likewise co-book release party (with Gabriel Bell, for her just-published Cecil and Jordan in New York), will take place on Friday, March 27th, from 7-9pm at Desert Island bookstore in Brooklyn at 540 Metropolitan Avenue.
Ariel will also appear at NYU (as part of their Queer Comics Series) on March 26th, 7-8:30pm, with performances from Stuck in the Middle and Potential as well as a preview of Likewise and a Q&A following the reading. Performing with me will be Ariel’s “fantastic sister, Tania Schrag, and the fabulous comedian, Karen Sneider.” In conjunction, Ariel will also be holding a Comics Drawing Workshop on March 27th from 4:30-6pm. Note that these two NYU events are open only to NYU students, faculty and staff.
You can pre-order Likewise at Amazon. Here are some blurbs (culled by Amazon.com) hailing Likewise.
