What happens when a group of ditzy blondes join a super hero group just to become famous? Nothing Good! Read all about it in The Blonde Squad #1, the first of a three-part miniseries created, written and drawn by Michael Troy (Crotchmen, Rocketboy, Homo-Hero's Big Book of Fun and Adventure) out now!
The first part "Deeply Superficial" introduces us to the team and their publicist Kandi Kramer, whom may or not be looking for a little publicity of her own. The team wraps up an appearance on a popular talk show, "Tyrone-A", just in time to go into battle with a group of super-villains with eating disorders while being filmed by "EEK! News Live!"
"This is largely my commentary on celebrity and how ridiculous it is," states Troy. "Everyone wants to be a celebrity and now they can. But at what price? There ALWAYS is one after all. So I kind of look in to that. With a humorous slant."
Also included is "The Boy Who Loved magnificent Woman", a touching tale of the difficulties of being a gay little boy and the importance of having something to believe in.
The Blonde Squad #1 is available for $5.00, plus postage by emailing TheBlondeSquad@gmail.com and later through the Prism online store.
