An intimate crowd was very eager to see Paul Pope and Bob Schreck take the dais at last weekend’s Baltimore Comic-Con. Billed as a “cage match,” the panel was surprisingly low-key, extremely low-tech (no slides) and very casual.

Howard Cruse, Jennifer Camper and Ivan Velez to Appear at Jim Hanley’s Universe and BAAD in NYC!

With the recent publication of the 15th Anniversary Edition of the classic Stuck Rubber Baby, LGBT comics legend Howard Cruse will be making appearances along with Ivan Velez, Jr. (Tales from the Closet) and Jennifer Camper (Juicy Mother) at the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance on June 16th and at the comic book store Jim Hanley’s Universe on June 17th. See details below!

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 16:
Howard, Ivan and Jennifer will appear together in a group slideshow entitled “Serious Funnies” at the Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance (acronymically known as BAAD!) at 8pm. The show is part of the “Out Like That! 2010 Festival”, which in turn is part of NYC’s citywide Gay Pride Month celebration. Admission is free! The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance is located at 841 Barretto Street. For more information go to the BAAD! website.

THURSDAY, JUNE 17:
The very LGBT-friendly comic book store Jim Hanley's Universe is honoring LGBT Pride Month with a signing featuring Howard again with Ivan and Jennifer! Jim Hanley’s Universe is located at 4 West 33rd Street in New York, across from the Empire State Building. Keep tuned to Jim Hanley’s website for the exact time of the event.

Howard will also be appearing at San Diego’s Comic-Con International in July. Keep checking this website for details!
