"Join Wuvable Oaf for Comic-Con International 2012 at Prism Comics, booth #2144-48! Here’s the schedule:
Wednesday, July 11th (Preview Night) 6-9 pm
Thursday & Sunday from 2-7 pm
Friday & Saturday from 9 am - 2 pm
The Oaf crew will be debuting three new items at the convention:
-The brand new OAF HULK shirt: Much cuter (and hairer) than Green or Red Hulk, Oaf Hulk ruins another pair of sweat pants!
-Comic-Con 2012 Wuvable Oaf poster: This 11 X 17 poster depicts the Oafs in their convention cosplay outfits!
-Roberta Gregory3's Three #3: Featuring a cover and COLOR Oaf story by Ed Luce, this latest issue also has a tale by Carrie McNinch and a crazy, very funny all-star comics jam instigated by Jen Camper, featuring Jen, Ivan Velez, Jr., Roberta Gregory2, Diane DiMassa, Roberta Gregory4, Roberta Gregory8, and Editor Robert Kirby. There are also special guest pages of art & comics by such queer, punk, and autobio comics illuminati as Michael Fahy, Janelle Hessig with Matt Runkle, MariNaomi, and Ignatz nominee Marian Runk.

No Straight Lines, a massive anthology published by Fantagraphics Books, is the most definitive collection to date of this material, showcasing the spectrum from lesbian underground comix, to gay newspaper strips, to bi punk zines, to trans webcomics. Artists' Reception for "Do Anything" exhibition
Space 4 Art, 325 15th Street, Downtown San Diego
The show features work by individual artists and collectives who focus on do-it-yourself publishing and print projects. Employing alternative methods of production and distribution to create books, zines, and video work, the exhibiting artists work with a variety of themes to actively engage a wide audience. Opening during Comic-Con, this exhibition focuses on artistic practices that push the boundaries of contemporary publishing. The opening reception will feature a screening of Strange Attractors: Investigations in Non-Humanoid Extraterrestrial Sexualities on Space 4 Art’s outdoor stage.
Artists and collectives exhibiting include: Bettie Breitweiser, The Institute of Extraterrestrial Sexuality and Encyclopedia Destructica, Juliacks, Justseeds, Darin Klein, Ed Luce, Ed Piskor, Louis M. Schmidt, Tom Scioli, Mary Tremonte, and Unicorn Mountain. As a satellite to the exhibition, Double Break Gallery (located at 1821 5th Avenue in Bankers Hill) will be showing new zines by Josh Atlas, Jessica Greenfield, Ben Hernstrom, Jennifer Murray, and Jessica Vaughn.

Gays in Comics: 25th Year Celebration! Room #6A
The comic world’s longest-running panel celebrates its silver anniversary with an incredible all-star panel and celebration which will spotlight creators, comics, and fans from 1988 to the present. This year, founding moderator and best-selling author Roberta Gregory1, will chair a new form of panel, a live documentary that will unfold for the audience, featuring a mixture of commentary, images, music and other surprises!
