Gaylaxicon 2012 Happening October 5-7 in Minneapolis!
posted September 30th, 2012
[Print-ready Version]

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Hang out with other gay geeks this weekend October 5-7 at Gaylaxicon, taking place at the Doubletree Saint Louis Park in Minneapolis. The North Country Gaylaxians are the sponsors of what is billed as “The Annual International Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror and Comics Convention for Gay Men, Lesbians, Bisexuals, Transgendered People and Their Friends!”

The festivities will begin Friday evening with the opening ceremony, followed by the "Meet the Pros" reception, where hors d’oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available. This kicks off the convention's 24-hour gaming, full schedule of programing (go here for the latest), art show, and dealers room. Attendees can also kick back in the well-stocked con suite.

Special events include (for an additional ticket) a Saturday buffet banquet, followed by the Gaylaxicon Cabaret again emceed by Glori Hallelujah where costumers can strut their stuff; on Sunday, there will be a screening of Blue Seraph Productions’ Judas Kiss, as well as a collection short films.

This year’s Guests of Honor are Gary Russell (Doctor Who), Lyda Morehouse (LINK Angel), Barbara Schulz (Hitchhiker Vinegarettes) Kyell Gold (Isolation Play), Sofawolf Press, and us Prism Comics!

Attending Guests: Charles “Zan” Christensen (Northwest Press), Marcus Nicholas Almand, Eleanor Arnason, Monica Ferris, Rachel Gold, Ginn Hale, Naomi Kritzer, Peg Kerr, Catherine Lundoff, Warren Rochelle, Lars Pearson, J. Michael Tatum and especially (!) our very own Terrance Griep.
