Bio: Andrea Speed is the editor-in-chief, reviewer, occasional gag writer and bottle washer for Comixtreme, a comics website, the little comic site that could. (We hope.)

She is also a writer, who currently has serial fiction running on the Still On The Shelf website, with her page being named after her favorite Porcupine Tree album, In Absentia. One of these serials, the Infected cycle, concerns a gay detective in a world where a werecat virus has altered the landscape. (So far, there are four stories in this cycle.) She also has a book out, a horror novel about a man who's a reluctant vessel for the restless dead, called Alone With The Dead.

NEW: Infected is actually published! By an actual publisher!!! Infected: Prey is now available through Dreamspinner Press. Click the link for my books for sale to get it from the publisher, or check out Amazon. I'm there.

She's written the intro for the Bomb Queen II: Queen of Hearts graphic novel, where a character named after her also appears.

She has a short story in Rex Libris #9, out now. She also does book reviews for Joe Bob Briggs' website. And look for a comedy piece in Prism Guide 2008.

She's a lifelong resident of Washington State, but has moved to a slightly better part of the state.

REVIEW: A WASTE OF TIME
[Source: cxPulp, Added: 10/27/11]
I found this book riveting and hard to put down. It’s very relatable whether you’re gay, straight, or an anthropomorphized rabbit. It’s a little ironic that a comic with so many animal proxies...

REVIEW: RAINY DAY RECESS: THE COMPLETE STEVEN'S COMICS
[Source: cxPulp, Added: 3/29/11]
This is a sweet, engaging collection of comics that everyone who’s ever been an outsider can relate to, and I can’t recommend it highly enough for all ages. Worth seeking out; if it‘s not...

REVIEW: GLAMAZONIA: THE UNCANNY SUPER-TRANNY
[Source: cxPulp, Added: 1/17/11]
Satirical comics hardly get any gayer than this comic, and I mean gay in a good way. It’s an unusual character that sends up many superhero clichés while highlighting drag queen clichés, which do...

REVIEW: SO SUPER DUPER #11
[Source: cxPulp, Added: 12/20/10]
There’s something surprisingly old fashioned about this comic, which is kind of a twist since this subject matter is very new age. And by that I mean the superhero plot is kind of secondary to the...
