Bio: Hello all. Thanks for checking out my profile!

I am a comic book creator out of San Francisco and I have just started my own small comic book publishing company called Slumberland Press.

I am a writer and a fledgling artist, who writes a lot and every so often gets a wild hair, and try to draw one of my scripts… and it’s not pretty. So I am much more comfortable working with artists. I have two projects that I am currently working on.

The first is called The Foxhunters, and it is set in ancient Japan and follows the lives of three individuals who are hell bend on eliminating foxes who, in Japanese mythology, were known to wreak havoc with the lives of common folk.

The second one is titled Hansel and Gretel: Agents of the Coven, and it is the continuing story of those lovable scamps who burnt up a witch. In this story they are older and part of a group called The Coven, who police witches in a strange and magical world.

I have tons of other scripts that are setting around just begging to be illustrated so if you are an artist with nothing better to do, let me know and we can make magic.

NOTE: I need to give a special thank you to the Prism staff at Wondercon for letting me sign at their booth at the last minute on Sunday afternoon to help promote my comic books. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Kisses, Desmond

MY FRIDAY COMIC-CON REPORT: THE FUTURE OF LGBT COMICS IS GOOD
[News, Posted 7/23/11]
It was an awesome Friday at Comic-Con! I finally got to meet Megan Gedris, who was the first recipient of Prism’s Queer Press Grant. Her talent was very clear to me, from the first time I saw Megan’s submission YU+ME. It was so fresh, so heartfelt and so skilled, that I knew she was here to last. And to date, she has not only produced six (!) volumes of YU+ME (with #6 premiering at the CON) plus I Was Kidnapped By Lesbian Pirates From Outer Space, but started her own…
