David Paul Brown

Email: david@carabossecomics.com
Website: Carabosse Comics

Bio: David Paul Brown is Vice President of Lynx Delirium's Carabosse Comics. In addition to handling most of the business side of the company and working as Lynx's assistant, he was the inspiration for the character Ratboy, who has become one of Carabosse's most popular creations. In an ironic twist, David fashioned a costume based on the Ratboy character and is now the official Ratboy model, posing and making appearances at the Carabosse Comics table at conventions.

David has also done some editing for Carabosse Comics and hand-lettered the one-shot The Goth Queen Needs a Mate with an original font he created. He aspires to advance his artistic talents and become more of a contributor to Carabosse Comics publications in the future.

David is currently acting as the manager for the Prism Comics online store. He spent time volunteering at the Prism Comics booth at the San Diego Comic Con, and may be seen at other events where Prism has a booth.

DAVID'S GLEEK-O-RAMA COMIC-CON BLOG FOR THURSDAY, JULY 23RD!
[News, Posted 7/23/09]
Hi-Ho, Queer Readers! Your intrepid reporter David, back for more self-inflicted Comic-Con abuse (So You Don't Have To). After a bumpy but on-time flight late last night, I finally dragged myself into the Con just in time to find the Prism Booth in full swing (David-Paul and Ted did a fab job this year!). Of course, I had to hack my way through the crowds. And I ask--is there any sign of a recession? Not with people lining up days for Twilight events and the exclusive Comic-Con Wonder…

HARD HEROES PARTY A SUCCESS!
[News, Posted 8/21/06]
The third HARD HEROES PARTY in Los Angeles was a big success. The evening was sponsored in part by Prism, and everyone who attended was a hero - raising $2,600 for BEING ALIVE, a grassroots Southern California HIV/AIDS charity. The crowd reached capacity during the evening at MJ'S BAR with dozens of guys and a few gals in super hero and villain costumes. Seen during evening were multiple Supermen, an older Superboy, a couple of Flashes, a couple of Robins and Batmen, Green Lantern, Capt.…

QUEERGEEKBLOG - COMIC-CON SATURDAY!
[News, Posted 7/23/06]
Okay, Saturdays are always bad at the Con. But it got to the point this year that full-sized Ratboys descended upon the Prism booth and no one blinked an eye (well, except for Zan who seems to be....uh...what are you doing?). This madness also makes it the best day, at least in terms of the freaks that come out to flaunt their freakiness. I have to say, the costuming has really jumped in quality. I remember sitting through the official Masquerade Ball and thinking, why bother? But we had…
