Bio: J. Brett Hopkins is an illustrator living in NYC. His comic book work so far has included soapy 'n' mopey contributions to the Young Bottoms in Love series, as well as the new, self-published, currently-ongoing miniseries Two Shy Guys, written by Richard Ruane. In the past, Brett has also been the co-editor of YBiL.

On Thursday, February 1st at 7pm, join Russ Turk, Rhino, Craig Bostick, J. Brett Hopkins, Tony Arena, Contributors to The Book of Boy Trouble comics anthology, and Abby Denson- creator of Tough Love at the LGBT Center in New York City for a panel discussion of gay themed comics from an alternative viewpoint.

One of the books released (albeit in preview form) at this year's Alternative Press Expo was Two Shy Guys, a book that has its roots in the "Young Bottoms in Love" webcomics series on PopImage.com. I enjoyed J. Brett Hopkins' art on YBiL, and was happy to find some of the stories from the series collected into a print edition, and quite a bit of new material, as well.
Richard Ruane's writing is right up my alley, with the droll, self-sabotaging shy guys from the title going to great lengths…
