Bio: An artist and health care provider living in Chicago, MK Czerwiec prefers to be known by her alter ego Comic Nurse. Her cartoons appear in the fabulous e-zine Gay.

MK's artistic influences include Keith Haring, Lynda Barry, Studs Terkel , Annie Dillard and Anne Lamott.

Look for a new cartoon every month on her website, ComicNurse.com. Two collections of her cartoons, Comic Nurse and Scars, Stories and Other Adventures are available on the site.

MK is currently illustrating a travel memories book about Chicago due out in the spring of '07.
