Bio: Dylan "NDR" Edwards is a writer, artist, and cartoonist currently living in Denver, Colorado. His work appears both in print and on the web.
His current project is Valley of the Silk Sky, an lgbtqia YA science fiction webcomic that updates each week on Wednesdays. VoSS chronicles the adventures of a crew of queer scientists as they search for new medicinals and try to avoid being eaten in the often-dangerous Pocalo Valley.
There is also an exclusive Valley of the Silk Sky short story in the Beyond Anthology, a collection of queer sci-fi/fantasy comics.
His new comic book, Politically InQueerect: Old Ghosts and Other Stories, is out from Northwest Press in March, 2015. In this all-new tale, Todd joins Archer and his mother on a journey to England to help Archer’s grandmother move. Gran is adamant that her old house is haunted, Archer is adamant that it isn’t. Will Archer’s skepticism lead to his peril, or is Gran amusing herself with a huge wind-up? Includes a selection of choice PiQue strips from the comic's 14-year run!
He is the author of Transposes (Northwest Press, 2012), a Lambda Literary Award Finalist for Best Transgender Non-Fiction. Transposes a non-fiction graphic book about the lives of queer-identified FTMs and genderqueers, and features a foreword by Alison Bechdel.
He also has work in the award-winning anthologies No Straight Lines (Fantagraphics, 2012) and QU33R (Northwest Press, 2013).
His other comics work includes The Outfield, a comic about queers in sports that was published on OutSports.com from 2002-2009; and an editorial cartoon focusing on queer issues that ran in the Texas Triangle and TXT Newsmagazine from 2004-2005. All of these comics may be found on studiondr.com.
Dylan participates in art shows and comic/sci-fi conventions to showcase his comics, non-comic 2D art, and his sculptures of fantastical monsters, Feeping Creatures.
