Bio: Shaun Manning joined Prism Comics as the editor of Prism Comics: Your LGBT Guide to Comics 2006, and has since gained rock-star status in the comic book community. It's only a matter of time before he's writing all of your favorite characters, and introducing you to his own manic creations. Ultra-hipsters who would like to keep ahead of the trends should order Prism Comics 2006 as soon as possible to secure bragging points.

Shaun has written for major industry websites Silver Bullet Comic Books and Comic Book Resources, as well as Bookslut.com. He also contributed a short story to Ronin Studios' benefit anthology Hope: New Orleans, which premiered at Wizard World Chicago in August 2006.

Shaun also writes short fiction without pictures, primarily satire and stories featuring historical/mythological characters. Some of this is available through his website, ShaunManning.com, which was recently redesigned by the wonderful Allyson Haller.

While studying at the University of Glasgow, Shaun became known for his dramatic readings. He took home the prize at the "Unpublished Writers Jam" portion of Edinburgh's Debut Authors Festival for a reading from his comedic novel Pizza Good Times. In addition, Shaun's short story "Yuki and Cyrus Take on the World" was broadcast on BBC Radio 4, and he has had two other short stories published in small press anthologies.

Mr. Manning's hobbies include reading comics, watching Lost and MI-5, and learning bits and pieces of assorted modern and archaic languages.
