Bio: Andrew Georgiou is the creator of the cult hit comic strip Mr Gisby's Totally Gay Pet Shop.
Georgiou's formal training began at the College of Fine Arts in Sydney, Australia, where he obtained both his Fine Arts and Masters degrees.
After working in film production for some time, Georgiou made the transition back to his first love, illustration. He quickly earned himself a reputation as one of the countries best illustrators of queer content after illustrating for the country's biggest gay men's magazine DNA for three years.
After departing from the magazine, Georgiou embarked on creating his own gay comic strip based on an all-gay pet shop.
Now in its third year, Mr Gisby and his queer pets appear in magazines in The U.S, U.K , Spain, The Netherlands, Germany
and Brazil, where it is translated into three foreign languages..
Georgiou continuously enjoys the challenge of creating fresh content for the ongoing strip, as well as being involved in the merchandising aspect to what has now become a widely-loved queer brand.
